Acronyminous!

According to Instep Today, an exhibition at The Second Floor (T2F) that opened on March 8 to raise funds for the rebuilding of Boulton Market has been co-organized by a body named... D.U.C.K!


"D.U.C.K! (Designers United for a Cause Karachi!) and Rebuild-Rebound, both founded by Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture have come together to "create awareness and raise funds for humanitarian causes". The first venture in this vein is a series of events called To Karachi With Love, the first of which was a fashion auction, and the second opened at the Faraar art space at T2f on March 8."


Talk about a close call! Thank God it wasn't Fashionistas United for a Cause Karachi...

    imagine if they would put up a fashion show at demolished Boulton Market, it will help tearing eyes to get romantic :p

    @nayyares and @Akhtar: Actually, I think that's just malicious and not very funny.

    @Anon755: Jeez. Have all of you (since you use 'we' to define yourself) lost your sense of humour? My comment was about the acronym, not about the designers or the fashionistas, and least of all about the cause! That's why the title was 'Acronyminous'. Duh. Get your head out of your ass. (And whichever way I dress, how is that any of your business?)

    @Khizzy: I know and already have. Once again, the comment had nothing to do with the actual merits of the event.

    Werent both events at the same time at the same venue?

    And IVSAA did not have any direct link, it was an IVSAA Alumni project.

    I can't stand Instep Reporters - Overly boistrous of their buddies - though this one is for a good cause. But business sense wise, T2F makes no sense. I guess they skip the marketing class for communication designers - Location, Location, Location, any one??!!

    @Gibraan - are you asking for T2F location? It's address is PeaceNiche & T2F | 10-C, Sunset Lane 5, Phase 2 Extension, DHA | Karachi (www.t2f.biz)...it actually makes quite a lot of sense in otherwise senseless scene around.
