Parody of the Day

Just came across this hilarious skit from Dunya TV's Hasb-e-Haal, where the resident comic genius known as Azizi (real name Sohail Ahmed) parodies former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi's persona after his recent bombastic speech. In common parlance, this would undoubtedly be known as the 'taking' of Shah Mahmood... Enjoy.

Hope you like him a tad bit more now.

I am appalled by your decision to post this parody on your blog. don't tell me you didn't notice the racism directed against the former American secretary of state. I loved your blogs but i have second thoughts now.

I am so disappointed that I am writing again. your criticized Imran Khan for his racist remarks against the former chief minister of Sindh. I enjoyed your blogs. i thought you were one of the very few sane voices. What is wrong with our people. I thought Talat Hussain was a sensible person but he disappointed me with his "julia ka thapar". i feel all of us are inherently ugly and ignorant. you should be ashamed of yourself and if you have even a little humanity in you then you should apologize.

ROHSHAN KHAYALS :P

so as i stated in your previous "SENSATIONAL" post about shah mahmood qureshi, you guys are still clinging to your LORD RAYMOND DAVIS IMMUNITY :P

and doing everything possible to defame or make fun of every people who DARE to protest against davis..oh sorry MR RAYMOND DAVIS..

Strangely when the whole foreign media (THE MAJOR SOURCE OF YOUR BLOG POSTS) has started making posts against RAYMOND DAVIS...you did not posted a single bit of it..

so let me point the readers to one latest news(there are hundreds now) which is not written by (AS PER YOU) ILLITERATE, RELIGIOUS EMOTIONAL PAKIS

(after all only a ROSHAN KHAYAL is a literate :P )

http://www.counterpunch.org/lindorff02102011.html

btw you can post that this article is written by a RELIGIOUS EMOTIONAL PAKI :P or ISI is behind this article :P

Often I wonder why there is always a ROSHAN KHAYAL behind every de-motivating article against my Pakistan...crafting an image that Pakistan is a fail state with lot of problems :)

@TAIMUR

bro blv me its just
WHY HE ... WHY NOT ME ideology among these media teenagers(mentally) :P

IF A PERSON FINDS IT AMUSING TO MAKE FUN OF OTHER PEOPLE...EITHER HE IS A FANATIC OR A ROSHAN KHAYAL :P

Folks,

we have not removed ANY comments in a long long time. Please don't jump to conclusions. If we ever do, we say why. There is some glitch in Blogger which may be causing it. Strangely, even the comments that disappear do turn up in our email notifications.

@You Shouldn't Care About My Name: Actually I may not agree with the political position on that clip but it's still quite funny.

@Taimur: Oh come on! Don't get so uptight. I didn't read it as racism. Personally, I find Condi Rice a scary and unlikeable person as well, which has nothing to do with the colour of her skin but for what she stood for.

@guppy: Really?

@Taliban: You really seem obsessed.

Brilliant. But yes, I would agree with Taimur on the racist bias bit, could have been avoided.

you know what i have second thoughts. I am going to bother you so much until you apologize for your racism, hypocrisy and double standards. you had been doing a very good job so far. I learned so much from you but I am not going to see you helplessly slip into racism. I am not a moral police but there are certain things that are absolutely wrong and racism is one of them.
folks join me in my protest against cafepyala's racism. If cafepyala doesn't apologize for the racist post then we are going to spread the word that cafepyala is racist.

please sympthize with me due to my psychological state of mind and condemn everybody whom i dislike because he does not conform with my thoghts that's why I call that person a RACIST. I am LIBERAL open minded westerner and migrated to land of free and I do not beleive in FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION. the things i do not like in my country of residence I close my eyes and ignore those but anything happening in my old country - to whom I express my love is only lip servcice - I am flg bearer of morality. I do not know what is the true definition of RACISM in its social/political perspective.

@Magnum: do you really think ishaque is making sense. he is making assumptions upon assumptions. his defense of racism is pathetic.
and what is the 'true definition of RACISM in its social/political perspective'. may i know that. probably i need to take a long class. where was this social/political perspective in the other case where you did find racism.
I agree we have many things in common but you are also a racist.

If saying no to harmful ideologies is being "narrow minded guardians of morality" then so be it. I don't mind your labels.

instead of seeing your racism, you are attacking my personality. which is fine considering that you are a racist. for your clarification, i have not experienced racism one single moment, at least in explicit way. I am a student and Pakistan is not my old country and I haven't 'migrated'. how can you assume that I am Westerner. is protesting against racism being Westerner. and by the way what does that term mean. does that mean you hate culture or ethnicity or country.
you said, "the things i do not like in my country of residence I close my eyes and ignore". in fact, the subject that i am studying is very much about the power and structural oppression in the postmodern neoliberal capitalism.
Son! I am not leaving you alone. you are a racist. you are speaking more about yourself by attacking my personality than about me.
I hope you don't delete any of my comments and i promise i will respond to any of your argument that is not personal and moronic. lets see what you have to say in the defense of racism.
goodluck!

ishaque said...

this is the boiling point where people from third world lake moral courage to admit their mistakes and take it personal. they do not talk about any ideas from which benefits others but are so self centred and egoist they talk about their personality and are happy if you praise them. and in anger they lose all the respect for themselves.

there are so many other forums for BULLYING and foul mouthed people. and people who can not disgest serious discussion sould show their talent on those forums. rest assured they will get very warm reception.

egoist and self-centred people has delima they think other people also think like them. and above all they lake courage to tolerate any slight criticism of them.

@ishaque you deleted my comment which did not have any expletives nor anything objectionable. I was just replying to your assumption about my life in the US . and your continual nonsensical defense of racism is doing more damage to the reputation of cafeplaya which had been doing a wonderful job so far.
would attacking my personality rather than my argument absolve you of your unjustified and blatant defense of racism.
one thing more, please ask someone else in your team to respond to readers' comments because you are not doing a fine job.

thank you. no I am not angry at you. I am angry at the decision to post this video on your blog. why I am angry? let me explain that.
See, you guys are sensible and rational. if i had been dealing with a mulla i would not have given a damn to what he/she said. but since you guys are otherwise sane and sensible therefore your defense of something carries wait with those who read you and in this way you normalize and make acceptable something that is wrong. moreover, I have recommended your blog to so many young people whose ideas are in the process of shaping. i would hate to see you perpetuate the pernicious ideologies. I am going to pounce on you whenever i see you going off the track!

Taimur said...

No, I am not angry at you, I am only angry at your decision to post that video. Why I am angry? Let me explain that.
If a mulla had been defending racism I would not have given a damn but since you guys are otherwise sensible and sane therefore your words and actions carry weight with those who read you. In this way, you can normalize wrong and present it as 'common sense' (which is happening right now) if you choose to do so. Moreover, I have recommended cafepyala to so many young people who are impressionable at this stage. I don't want you to be the medium through which pernicious ideologies perpetuate. We have to keep a check on each other. We do have commonalities but that doesn't mean that we keep mum when we see wrong within our ranks.
Let’s have a solid defense against the increasing madness in Pakistan. We cannot afford to imitate those whom we criticize.

@ishaque: what do you mean? are you saying that those who are victim of racism should just shut up? all your comments are moronic.
Do you also write in this blog? you can't even have a sound argument without becoming personal and illogical. Besides, your English sucks, i understand your Urdu better.
I too live in the US and don't mistake it for Pakistan. here no one at least in major cities can dare to be openly racist without consequences. don't confuse it for our Pakistan.

Nangyal said...

@ishaque one thing more. you are not even consistent. sometimes you bully, sometimes you ridicule and when it doesn't work then you start pleading for commonalities.
BE A MAN!!

Taimur - agree with you. How easily such a racist remark against rice is looked on as humour.

Sakib Ahmad said...

@ishaque
You can't hope to win an argument with a politically correct individual! Such self-righteous individuals can see deep into your sub-conscious and know who you really are!!

In an oral discussion on my current blog I happened to say that Obama had a heart as black as his face while Clinton had a black heart and a white face. I leave it to your imagination to visualise the reaction of politically correct individuals, especially those used to breathing in the PC germs in the hypocritical USA society.

Taimur said...

@sakib Ahmad. you are funny. it is not a matter of winning an argument. we are not competing for a medal. can you explain what do you exactly mean by politically correct. by the way what about imran khan and arbab rahim episode?
you said "hypocritical USA society" so you belong to a non-hypocritical society. and by the way i don't claim to be a us Citizen nor is it my society. so don't criticize the US to get to me. you can do it without that as your friend was doing.

and about that statement about Obama cannot be racist because it is not a value judgement on his looks per se.

and you are not much different from the mullas and moronic anchors on tvs whom you criticize.
