This is obviously rather American-centric but I think journos everywhere can relate. If only I could animate or even re-edit this, I'd do a Pakistan version. I have a script in mind. Your ideas are also more than welcome.

After Mushrraf "liberalised" the press, I wanted to be a journalist. Then I met a few actual journalists, and they were like, yeah.....don't.
Now sometimes I want a news show where I can abuse at Kamran Khan, Shahid Masood, Maulvis and the army.
I think Hasb-e-Haal is fitting that bill.
Unwarranted self importance ftw.
I loved this video. So spot on. I think to a great extent both the US and Pakistan are going through this 24/7 news cycle phase, which is causing a level of havoc in the press. But, as I mentioned, it's just a phase. Once there are more creative methods of solving the "charge for news" problem then people will go back to reading the news, with a little fee (it's only fair). Something like paying x amount of money to access a dozen news sites or something along the lines.
I am a journalist already, but couldn't make a mark :(

Good luck. AND in my highly humble opinion, if you made Pakistani version of it in our Madiri Zabaan. Would be a lot better and a lot funnier.
